Coffee in the Golden Morning
I improvised Coffee in the Golden Morning on April 14, 2014, after a pleasant drift through the Koke’e forest with my first cup of the day. I met some rather magnificent moa, the Hawaiian feral chicken that looks like a frozen firework. There were also much smaller birds in the tree branches, so small you could mistake them for flowers if you didn’t look straight at them.
If you look closely at things in the forest, you surprise so many delicate, magnificent worlds in a fern, a flower or the feathers of a bird! Filled with the imagery and feelings of a dozen intricate, tiny worlds, I came back to the cabin and jammed this gentle duet.
